β β β β β Iβm currently on the hunt for the perfect plant to buy in multiples to soften the look of our concrete patio with texture and color. During my search, I visited Shoal Creek Nursery, and I was genuinely impressed. It can be surprisingly difficult to find a nursery in the middle of the busy growing season that still has a great selection, reasonable prices, and knowledgeable staff who are happy to answer questions. Shoal Creek Nursery checked every one of those boxes. Whether youβre starting a garden from seed or looking for mature trees and shrubs, they truly have something for every level of gardener. During my visit I found an incredible selection of perennials, annuals, trees, shrubs, flowers, succulents, cacti, houseplants, vines, and vegetable starts. They also carry all the gardening essentials, including soil, pots, fertilizers, irrigation supplies, hand tools, shovels, rakes, and just about everything else you might need to complete your project. One thing I always like to mention is parking because I know itβs something many people wonder about before visiting. The on-site parking lot is fairly small, but donβt let that discourage you. There is free street parking

Shoal Creek has a fantastic selection of outdoor plants, including drought tolerant and natives. It's really well organized in a relatively small space, and easy to find what you need. The succulents are gorgeous. Friendly staff.

Awesome local nursery, loved the educational blurbs they have for the plant signs. I was able to get many perennials and herbs for less than 4 dollars, and the store associates are friendly. If you are lucky, you will also find some cats!

Shoal Creek nursery is my go-to for plants, and has been for over 15 years. They almost always have exactly what I'm looking for, and I've learned that if they don't have it, it's probably the wrong season for it anyway. The staff is super knowledgeable, and willing to help. My son delights in finding the cats hiding in between plants and teasing the Bigfoot sculpture in the back corner. 10/10

I love the variety of plants here, and even just walking around makes me happy. Compared to other nurseries, the vegetable and fruit seedlings here, as well as the trees, often look healthier and better cared for. They also carry a great selection of moss, pots, and different types of soil, so it is easy to find what I need. I visited around 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, which happened to be the weekend when many new spring plants had just arrived, so it was especially busy. The parking lot was full, and there were even cars waiting on the road to get in. I also noticed some people parking along the road to the right of the entrance and walking over. I have never had trouble finding parking on weekdays, so I would recommend visiting then if you can. During the busy spring season, weekends are also more manageable if you go early in the morning. The paths were just barely manageable with a small stroller. There are two restrooms. They are not especially clean, but they are spacious enough to bring a small stroller inside. One thing to keep in mind is that there are several cats on the property, so anyone with cat allergies should be careful. Overall, this is one of my favorite
